Gran Espresso is Lavazza's bar roast with the highest Robusta content. A whopping 60% Robustas from Africa and Indonesia ensure that this coffee creates an excellent crema. The sugar certainly has a real problem fighting its way through this thick, seductive crema.
Simply great as a cappuccino, the bitterness present harmonizes wonderfully with the milk. However, you should use Gran Espresso less as an Americano, it is not convincing in that role. But the name already indicates what matters here. And as an espresso, perhaps with a little more sugar than usual, this blend is in its element.
