Description
Traditionally nougat is made by whipping honey and egg whites together until a thick, white paste is formed. The paste is then heated and mixed for between 3 and 11 hours, depending on the desired consistency. Roasted hazelnuts are added before the mixture is rolled out and laid into wooden frames lined with an edible wafer. Once cooled, the nougat is cut into pieces and packaged.
