Description

Grape variety: Chardonnay

The wine presents itself with a deep straw yellow and greenish hints; the perlage is very fine and persistent. The aroma is intense, fine, with notes of ripe fruits (apple, pear, peach), flowers, and a touch of vanilla. The taste is full, concentrated, and not too invasive; soft and pleasant on the finish.

Winemaking and aging: "Doppio Erre Di" (RDRD) stands for "Ritardato Degorgement Recentemente Degorgiato" (Delayed disgorgement recently disgorged). The disgorgement (i.e., the final stage of the Franciacorta method production) is intentionally delayed after 30 months of bottle aging on the lees. To ensure freshness, bottles are marketed shortly after disgorgement. It is made with 100% Chardonnay grapes, and a portion of the base wine is aged in wood.

Food and serving recommendation: Ideal with the following dishes: appetizers, fish, aperitif, recommended to be served at a temperature of 4 - 8°C.

Alcohol content: 12.5%

Storage tips: A constant temperature between 13-17°C with humidity of 60-70%. If there is a cork, bottles should be stored horizontally. Foreign odors pose a problem for the wine. Good and sufficient air circulation and as little light influence as possible are important for every wine cellar.
